We are proud to announce that we are litter-picking once a month again on the 3rd Saturday of the month in Fox Hollies Park, Acocks Green.  If you would like to join us let us know on the contact page.

Womens Refuge:

Food Banks:

We support our local food banks

Spectacles Recycling:

One of our biggest projects is collecting unwanted glasses and recycling them for people who need them in other parts of the world. A list of where you can drop your unwanted glasses will be up soon.

Other Recycling

As well as Spectacles we recycle ink cartridges, used postage stamps, tablet blister packs and bras. More details to follow soon.

Specific Requests:

These vary from sponsoring local community projects or overseas projects to support for international competitions.

We participate in a variety of projects important to our community, through fundraising efforts and volunteering, we seek to assist those in need.

Below are some of our annual projects:

Christmas Hampers:

Some of the money that is collected by Acocks Green Lions goes to provide  Christmas hampers for deserving people in the Acocks Green area.  Each year goods are purchased and made up into approximately fifty hampers,

which are then personally delivered by individual Lions.  We aim to provide some basic food items plus a few treats and to ensure that the  recipients know that they are being thought of at this special time of year.

Santa Visits:

We tow our sleigh to the Acocks Green area and make door-to-door collections  with Santa, which helps raise funds for other projects.  On two Saturdays we collect in the Centre of Acocks Green.  One evening, we visit a local home for young people delivering a small gift. In addition, we collect one evening assisted by the students of Ninestiles School                    and another with the 260th Scouts group.
